A few days ago, I received a message from a teacher I deeply respect:
“Barnaby, I want to download the Language and Communication Coaching guide… but I simply can’t afford it.”
Then another came in. And another. All from teachers who the book was written for. Colleagues with a deep commitment to their learners and their craft - but constrained by budgets, currencies or geography.
It gave me pause for thought. And it made something clear.

Language and Communication Coaching: The Essential Guide for Language Teachers and Trainers has been years in the making - built on over 30 years in classrooms, staffrooms and training rooms. It draws on everything from Dogme ELT to coaching psychology, and includes dozens of practical ideas, case studies and frameworks.
It took months of focused writing to bring it all together. And yes, I believe it’s worth paying for.
But I believe even more strongly that teachers shouldn’t be priced out of ideas that could support their work.
